Have to confess I ran out of time before I could finish the previous posting and here is the remaining...
I don't know if you realise that there are many ways you can choose to react to this recent lost key issue. You can
1) choose to ignore, lead life like before (if something gets lost? wait till that happens)
2) choose to be furious and give the culprit a good scolding... not enough? tell all the teachers so that they can join in the exercise.
3) choose to show your support for a friend in trouble.
Just to mention 3. I suppose there are many more choices.
While there are consequences to bear as the one who has done wrong, I am more concerned about the rest of you and the choices you make. In the end, it boils down to the same thing: am I immune to foolish mistakes?
A world of pouncing on one anothers' mistake and getting back at people
vs
A world of empathy, forgiveness and accpetance of one anothers' weakness
I choose the latter. I hope you'll join me

Hate those foolish deeds but love the foolish person, for he is already sad and miserable over the foolish deed.

It is interesting that immediately after posting my note on "love" I am put to test by that classroom key that by now have little chance of coming back.

My version: somebody was throwing the classroom key to see how high the classroom key can be thrown... (trying to hit the hall ceiling?)

I don't know how many attempts it took. Probably without warning, it landed on the highest ledge. (OH NO!!) The rest they say is history...

Really, there is nothing much you can do about the past, as much as one can blame the thrower, we can also blame everybody else who did not warn of what could have happened. Now you see why sometimes your classmates tell you off? Because if they don't, like in this case, everybody suffers. I suppose everybody was busy PE-ing so nobody managed to say something sensible.

Love is patient and kind; (it doesn't matter if others are kind in return)
love does not envy or boast; (talk with humility)
it is not arrogant or rude. (not in a hurry to boast, be polite)
It does not insist on its own way; (respect others' views)
it is not irritable or resentful; (have to let go of unhappy pasts and not harbour ill feelings)
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, (very relevant, needs no explanation)
but rejoices with the truth. (be frank and truthful)
Love bears all things, (going through good times and tough times together)
believes all things, (tell the truth if you really love)
hopes all things, (always hopes and never give up hoping)
endures all things. (.... noise level and attire checks?)
Love never ends. (yesterday, today, tomorrow and tomorrow....)

Dearly beloved,

True love is not tested in good times and merry making but in tough times and sadness and even times of anger. There is only one 2C 2007 and we are all in this together. You have to choose to love, no one can force you. I am not even saying that it is easy but it is really the only way if you want to make sense of school and class.

Hey folks,

Class photo is scheduled on the 1st August Wednesday. Now, don't say I didn't tell you earlier. I really hope all those nametags will be up by then. Have you thought of your "special item" yet?

Meanwhile keep yourselves healthy and hopefully we have full attendance on that day.

I will have more reminders coming up.

p.s. is there anything we can do about the width of this column? some words got "chopped off"and I have to right justify to keep as many letters in as possible *frustrating*
